In my medical malpractice case, my lawyer missed a filing deadline for punitive damages, and I want to find the documentation that shows when these punitive damages were rejected. I also feel trapped by a confidentiality agreement and am questioning whether my lawyer has an obligation to inform me when something like this happens, so I can assess the risk/benefit ratio of continuing the case. What documented proof can I ask for, and does my lawyer have a duty to provide this information and warn me about the implications of missed deadlines?

Good morning Sarah, I am following up on our previous conversation about Terminix regarding my daughter’s rat infestation. We took your advice and requested remediation and disputed the charges with my credit card company. Remediation was done with no satisfaction, and my credit card company is in the investigative process. I’ve also sent a letter to Terminix chronologizing events this past year and voicing my dissatisfaction with their service, since the problem is worse than ever. I am reaching out again to see what Terminix’s recourse might be if the money is refunded. Also, if it comes down to taking them to small claims court, I would like whatever helpful advice you could give me.
