In New York State, is the Village code enforcement 'HEARING' officer elected or appointed? Suppose a Village recently adopted an ordinance regarding the storage of 'junk' material on properties and the height of grass and weeds. If a property owner is non-compliant with the new ordinance and is given 30 days to become compliant, and after 30 days, the code enforcement officer determines the property owner is still non-compliant and imposes a fine, is the property owner entitled to a hearing before the code enforcement 'HEARING' officer?

I live in Brooklyn, NY, and am attending Queens Family Court for a child support modification. I have joint legal custody and 50/50 parenting time, so I currently pay $0 in child support. The mother claims she makes less than I do, but I have a company that hasn't made money due to ongoing court cases, and my wife supports us with her $78k annual income. I was served with a violation for not paying 46% of childcare, but the children only go to childcare on the mother's days. The mother provided evidence of $10k in childcare payments in three months, which contradicts her claim of making less than $18/hour. How can I use the evidence from the violation in the modification case, and what objections can I file against the judge's decision?

I was harassed by a man from Texas who used his daughter's phone to entrap me. He threatened me with contacting the Dallas PD and my alleged employer, and claimed to have my address to blackmail me. I documented all text messages and have proof of consensual interactions with his daughter. What should I do, and are there any legal actions I can take?

I am planning to buy a house in Texas soon but I have a trucking company in South Carolina (single member LLC). I don't limit my operation to only working within SC. I want to know my options as to what to do with the business. I don't own property in SC but I do plan to purchase property in SC after I get the home in TX. Do I have to move the business address and licenses to TX? What if I have homes in multiple states?

I was arrested in Henry County, GA, for 'driving while license suspended/revoked 40-5-21' and the charge was changed to 'no drivers license 40-5-20(A)'. I pleaded 'Nolo Contendre' and paid the fines. How is this incident recorded for me? Is it an arrest record? Is it an arrest for a criminal offense? Is it a conviction for a criminal offense? I was recently denied Global Entry due to 'you have been convicted and/or arrested for a criminal offense'. Should I attempt to appeal the Global Entry denial?
