In regards to co-ops and condos, to what extent can the board govern whether you can rent it out, who you can sell it to, and under what terms? What are the parameters in which these rules can be changed? For example, if one purchases a co-op/condo and the rules say you can rent it out after one year/unlimited sublets but 6 months later the rules are changed, what would happen if you are renting it out prior to these changes? Are you governed by those changes?
