I need the name and citation number of the California appellate decision from around 1976-1978 involving a private adoption case where the court ordered an attorney to be appointed for the child, a first impression case. The decision specifically mentions Kenneth Briggs, Deputy County Counsel, in a derogatory manner.

I'm being sued by the buyer of our house that was sold in October 2018 for a contract dispute. The buyer is suing for $6k due to damages from a leak that occurred after they moved in, claiming we concealed the issue. We previously gave them a $10k price reduction to address potential issues. What is the best ground to countersue, and is it worth fighting this lawsuit?

I am not happy with the result of my facelift surgery from three years ago, and I discovered that my doctor lied about his training. Specifically, he claimed to have a week of training with Dr. Sam Hamra, the founder of a specific technique, which was untrue. Do I have a case against him, and what are my options?

I was falsely accused of striking a coworker with a jumbo seat handset while on duty at American Airlines. The captain asked me to sit, and upon returning from the trip, management withheld me from service pending an investigation. My union, The Association of Professional Flight Attendants, contacted me and suggested I retire to avoid termination and losing my retirement benefits, knowing I had recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer. I feel I was forced to retire unfairly and want to seek recourse. What legal options do I have?

I have a child with my ex-wife and pay monthly child support. We recently moved to WA from AK and got behind in payments while settling in. I made a decent amount of money working a prevailing wage job from June to September and want to pay off my child support debt. I also want 50-50 custody of my son since I've been paying for most of his bills and he's been with me most of the time. My ex-wife is not opposed to this. However, due to the amount I made over those four months, I'm worried that changing the order will result in me paying more than I currently do. I'm not making that money anymore and only get 29 hours a week due to a work injury. Should I go ahead with the 51/49 custody and pay off the child support debt, or just pay off the debt and leave the order as it is for now?
