My child was run over by a motorist, and social services found it was not our fault. However, a month later, I was served a summons for neglect. I was at the hospital with the officer 5-6 hours after the accident, and he was unsure about the details. Witnesses said the woman ran over my child while he was on his motorized bike. I stepped inside briefly while supervising him with other kids, and the accident happened. My child was airlifted to the hospital, and I couldn't verify the woman's story to the officer. My son has been through a lot, and I am the sole provider. His mother quit her job to care for him. What will happen in court, and what should I do to resolve this?
