In a harassment case, I found out that a hearing on my Motion to have an audio recording analyzed was not reported. The reason given was that my attorney requested to appear by telephone, which supposedly exempts the hearing from being reported. Is this true, and as the defendant, wouldn't I need to be informed of this? Additionally, the court ruled that a duplicate audio recording was identical to the original without ever hearing the original. How can the court make such a ruling without verifying the original recording?

My mentally disabled brother was victimized by a Nigerian scam. He tried to deposit a $25,000 money order and now the bank has filed a petition for interpleader. He has no money or assets. Can he just file an answer that he was scammed and relinquish rights to the money? He has already been in touch with the FBI over this.

I own a fitness studio that is closing. A client bought a pass for fifty classes nine months ago and has thirty-seven classes left. The classes are now honored at other locations a reasonable distance away. Does she have a legal claim for full reimbursement?
