My daughter-in-law had a severe anaphylactic reaction 4 1/2 years ago and was billed incorrectly due to a hospital address error. The bill was sent to collections and affected her credit. Can they legally force her to pay the old bill now, since it is over 3 years old, and who should she contact to make payment arrangements?

I have a bank account that was frozen due to a judgment against me, which has now expired. How can I have the attachment lifted from my account, and what steps should I take to find the necessary information such as the docket number?

I am a software developer consultant who received an offer through a vendor to work with a client. My current employer is asking for twice the salary I'll be receiving. If I don't inform my current employer and work out a deal with the new company, could they possibly find out in the future? Additionally, I'll be paying a settlement to terminate my contract, but would the non-compete clause be an issue, even though I'd be receiving half my hourly rate?

I was told by my employer that they were terminating me because my position as GM was being replaced by the owner's son. However, when I filed for unemployment, they told unemployment that I was fired due to poor performance. My employer never verbally warned me, provided written documentation, or discussed my performance. Can they get away with this, and are they required to provide the same reason for termination to both me and the unemployment office?

I signed over power of attorney and a quitclaim deed for my house, which was sold by the agent. The proceeds from the sale were not returned to me after the POA expired. I am in Colorado and have started a legal case against the agent. The POA was not notarized in my presence, and I was diagnosed with major depression before signing these documents. What are my legal options, and can I claim incapacity or fraud?
