Laurie I. asked
My ex-boyfriend took screenshots of my private text/photo conversation without my permission, kept them for 1.5 years, and recently sent them to someone else in California to harass me. He lives in Texas. Is this a violation of privacy laws, and what legal actions can I take?

We bought a 2006 Alpha motorhome in February 2016. We just discovered that the exterior paint is popping off everywhere. We talked to the place that sold it to us, and they said 'oh that happens didn't anyone tell you?' Well, no one told us. If so, we wouldn't have bought it with our life savings. We wondered what if anything can we do. We thought that they would give us a fair price to trade it in, but they are not. What are our options for pursuing a case, and how can we prepare for it?

In Rhode Island, can a lawyer not refund your money for a divorce that was cancelled later that day, especially if the consultation was only 20 minutes long?

I put my house on the market for more than I thought anyone would pay and it sold in two days for the full amount. My family wants me to cancel the sale, but all documents except the final closing papers have been signed. What kind of lawsuits can I expect if I cancel the sale, and what can I do to avoid them?

I want to verify if a lawyer named ***** in Cotonou, Benin, is trustworthy before sending $1900 to him. Can you confirm his legitimacy?

Involved in a legal case over a retaining wall. Just discovered a hidden camera placed on a tree at the border (could be on neighbors lot) facing the wall from above. This is a remote area and there are no homes near mine. No neighbors. Surrounded by forest. I looked at the camera (still photography) simm card and it had images of me behind my home. I suspect the defendant put it there. Is that legal? Nothing to hide but could he use the images in court? Will check with my attorney but curious now.
