Clayton J. asked
My ex-husband and I were appointed 'Possessory Conservators' for our two sons, while his mother and stepfather were appointed 'Sole Managing Conservators' for our oldest son, and a couple, friends of my ex-mother-in-law, were appointed 'Sole Managing Conservators' for our youngest son. Since our divorce in 2004, I've had disputes with my ex-in-laws over my visitation rights with my oldest son, Nathanyl, who has now permanently moved in with my ex and his wife without my consent. They allow me to see him every other week for at most 3-4 hours, but he cannot stay the night with me, despite being allowed to leave the state with my ex and his new wife. My divorce papers state that my ex and I have equal rights, but this has not been the case since 2004. What should I do?

You should consider going back to court and filing contempt of court charges against your ex-in-laws...

What legal rights do we have if we have been harmed by a court error (judgement was never sent to defendant-only to plaintiff, and did not have defendants name on or in it) and what grounds do we have to compel the judge to dismiss our case based on the harm that occurred (because of actions of plaintiff who disobeyed a court order to stay a levy) rather than vacate and re-issue nunc pro tunc? Collections case.

I sued someone for water leakage into my apartment unit. We had two trials but no agreement. The judge told me to bring a witness, and he'll give a final decision. I have pictures, videos, and a witness to prove my case. However, I just received a motion to dismiss complaint letter from the defendant's lawyer stating that I'm not the owner of the property. My name is on the deed, but I am legally married, and my wife's name is also on the deed. What should I do to not lose the case? Someone told me to file an AMENDED COMPLAINT. Please advise.

I need to depose a psychologist who issued a memo with child abuse accusations to my ex-husband, but did not sign it or report the abuse to authorities. What are the potential legal repercussions for the psychologist's failure to report child abuse and for providing an unsigned memo to only one party in a case?

My 84-year-old mother is becoming a hazard to herself and others due to hoarding and unsafe behaviors such as leaving burners on at the stove and electric heaters on all night. She also refuses to take her medications. What steps do I need to take to place her in a nursing home to prevent harm to her or others?

In a defamation lawsuit in Washington State, the superior court judge ruled in my favor, ordering a permanent injunction against the defendant from defaming me again and reversing a surname change made to harm my reputation. The defendant has now retained an attorney pro bono who objects to this supplemental ruling, claiming it is beyond the court's jurisdiction. Based on your experience and expertise, is it within a Superior Court's jurisdiction in Washington State to reverse a name change made to cause harm to another, especially when the defendant denied under oath that the name change was for escaping debtors or harming anyone, but then proceeded to defame me online causing severe distress?
