My father, a 72-year-old former supervisor at a maintenance company, was told he no longer has his position and must take his vacation, with no choice offered. Upon returning from vacation, he was offered a job 40 miles away from his home that is not a supervisor position and does not pay the same. The manager cited his insufficient English proficiency as the reason, despite no prior complaints about his work performance. My father asked for the new rules and reasons in writing but was denied. He has been working 12-hour days for the same salary and every other Saturday for extra money. What legal actions can he take?

My father gave me some money and some of my siblings were pressuring me to pay this sum back. I wrote an email assuring them that I would when a certain property is sold. My father has since passed away and that property has been sold. There was no promissory note made between my father and me. The only thing is this email that was written under my wife's email address. Some siblings are happy to say that my father was quite adamant at a meeting that this sum was given to me freely. I did, at one stage, go as far as prepare a cheque for the sibling who's been demanding his share of the money but I pulled back when I realized that he wanted also gains eg interests etc from this sum as well. How legally binding is this email?

My husband and I need a lawyer to fight CarMax. They refuse to return our vehicle after I declined for them to repair it. We purchased a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 in August 2010 from CarMax. The engine light came on in January 2011, and after multiple repairs and issues, we took it to a local PepBoys auto shop, which indicated no work was done. Our warranty company declined further repairs by PepBoys and advised us to return the vehicle to CarMax. CarMax now demands additional payment for repairs we declined, and they refuse to return the vehicle unless we speak with their legal department. Can you recommend an attorney in the Maryland/DC area to handle this issue?
