My father had a sole proprietor business and didn't leave any documents stating that I was the new owner, but it was assumed I would take over. Since he has passed away, how do I show ownership of this company? I currently have insurance for the company in my name as well as workman's compensation.

My husband and I purchased a home in a new state for cash and have been uncertain about staying in the area due to limited work opportunities. We listed the house for sale, then decided to take it off the market and stay longer. Now, we want to take it off the market again. Are there any repercussions for repeatedly listing and delisting our home, and should we offer compensation to the listing agent for their trouble? Additionally, if the house sells, should we invest the proceeds and rent until retirement?

I married in 2009 and separated in 2011 but have not divorced yet. My estranged husband bought a car in 2014 and became incarcerated in 2015, asking me to take over the car for our kids. His sister and brother-in-law took over the car without authorization, made changes to the account, and eventually offered to give me the car if I paid them $1,500 for their 'troubles, losses, and repairs'. I refused and eventually got the car, which was in worse condition and needed $461 in repairs. My husband never authorized his sister or brother-in-law to take over the car, and he will be mailing me a written statement authorizing me to take over the account and the car's ownership. There is now a past-due balance of $344.56 plus $300.48 in 'other charges', and I don't feel it's fair that I now have to pay all this plus the $461 for repairs. Can I sue for this? What options do I have?

I have a question regarding breaking lease on the house I was renting. We had a rent-to-own agreement and faced significant issues with the property's water supply, leading to prolonged periods of unusable water. Despite our efforts to resolve the issues with the landlord, the situation worsened, and we eventually lost our jobs and had to move out early. The landlord is now demanding payment for the remaining months of rent and threatening to sue. Should I hire a local lawyer in Tazewell, TN, to represent me or pay the landlord?

After moving to Ohio to care for my dying mother, I lost control of her estate due to her executor's actions and my aunt's interference. My mother's home was sold to my aunt for less than its value, and my sister and I were excluded from the will. Do I have any legal rights to challenge this in 2016?

A bank has a lien on our personal property due to a personal guarantee signed by my husband for a business line of credit. The business closed, leaving a debt of $42,000 to the bank. We are in Wisconsin. Is there a statute of limitations on the bank's claim, and can the bank force a foreclosure action on our personal property to collect the lien? Additionally, there is an IRS lien due to payroll tax debt, and we have a payment contract with the IRS. Can the IRS force a sale by foreclosure even though we have a payment contract, and what happens to both liens after the statute of limitations is up?
