My father is changing his revocable trust to an irrevocable trust for health and Medicaid reasons. He wants me to be the trustee and a beneficiary, with my brother as the backup trustee and my son as the alternate beneficiary. I am confused about how to structure this trust to ensure my father's wishes are met, protect my inheritance from my husband, and manage my son's future financial access. Additionally, I am concerned about the legal advice regarding the need for a new trust versus amending the existing one and the implications for Medicaid eligibility.

I brought a spousal support suit against my ex common law spouse and received an interim one year support order. The judge gave me a year to decide what I wanted. I have now decided what I am asking for, but my ex has since changed lawyers. Who do I serve with the new documents? His first lawyer or his new lawyer? Additionally, when I submit my support order, will the judge address my request for the return of monies my ex took from me, or do I have to submit for a different order?
