Joseph P. asked
My friends and I were pulled over at 2:30am, and the officer made us get out, searched the car and us, and found nothing. We all received curfew tickets and were made to blow for alcohol, which I believe was illegal without probable cause since we were under 18. When we asked why we were pulled over, the officer gave an excuse to leave quickly. If I plead not guilty and try to fight the curfew ticket, what are the chances of getting it dismissed, and is this enough to file harassment charges?

The chances of getting the curfew ticket dismissed depend on the specific laws and procedures in you...

Does an office manager, without any medical education, have the legal right to tell a patient that the doctor is unavailable and to go to the ER for pain medication concerns, and to read the patient's medical chart for office management purposes, even if it involves assessing past treatments or recurring problems?

A person has been sending my employer false letters about me. The letters are not signed and have no return address. The letters are stating false claims that can, but have not jeopardized my employment there. I know exactly who it is, but I have no proof. But I can connect the dots to this person. Can I sue him for slander?

I received a judgment for monies related to a 1998 Chevy Venture vehicle purchased in July 2007. After the vehicle broke down twice, I had it towed back to the dealer on January 3, 2007, and had not heard from them until November 28, 2008, when I was served with a judgment for $5,825. Is there anything I can do? Isn't there a time frame for them to act?
