My girlfriend has been taking Minastrin 24 E birth control and recently started taking Oxcarbazepine oral. Two months after starting Oxcarbazepine, her insurance notified her gynecologist that the medication reduces the effectiveness of hormonal contraceptives. We are concerned she might be pregnant. If she is, are there any potential malpractice concerns we can file a lawsuit for?

I have a right of way through my property with two creeks running through it. The people who use it asked to add gravel at the creek to make it easier to get in and out, which I agreed to. After heavy rains, the gravel was washed away. Now, someone has built a dam on my property to repair the damage, which I fear will change the flow of the creek and cause further damage to my property. Is it within my rights to have this removed and another solution used to solve the problem? The right of way was a verbal agreement when I first bought the property, and I live in Missouri.

I was involved in a car accident where I rear-ended a car that was stopped in the middle of the highway. I don't feel I'm at fault and believe the car in front was a roadblock. No police report was filed, and we exchanged information. The driver I hit expects me to pay for damages. Could I hold the leading driver liable, am I automatically responsible for his damages, and could I argue that he backed into me?

My daughter, who works at a Wells Fargo call center, reported being groped by a team lead at the beginning of the year. The team lead was not reprimanded, and my daughter was moved to a different team. Later, the same team lead was accused of raping another woman at work. My daughter went on short-term disability and was medically cleared to return to work in August, but Wells Fargo has not allowed her to return, giving various excuses. She is no longer receiving disability compensation and has no income. I believe Wells Fargo has no intention of letting her return and may be trying to make her go away. They did not take action against the team lead after my daughter reported the incident, putting her and other women in danger. I suspect there is a potential lawsuit related to this situation. What should we do?

What is the potential downside of making a CCP § 998 settlement offer if I'm already in litigation and planning to make an offer? Is there any reason that it might hurt me to do it as a § 998 offer?
