My husband and I are getting divorced, and we are both on our apartment lease. I am a housewife and an immigrant with no job, income, car, or place to go. My husband wants to escape the lease and leave me with the $1,200 monthly rent. I have no money for a lawyer and cannot afford to pay the rent. What can I do to ensure I am not left homeless and how can I protect myself from his debts, such as student loans?

My friends live in CA but have been stuck in Hawaii for 4 months due to their premature baby (born at 23 weeks gestation). Their insurance company is calling for immediate discharge, but the doctors feel the baby's eyes are at serious risk if they fly home. The insurance company considers the possibility of the baby's blindness an 'acceptable risk.' What can be done about this situation, and is there a government official I can contact to address this issue?

My daughter is in the Washington corrections center for women in Gig Harbor, WA. She has been there several months and is supposed to be released in October. She is in there on a drug charge and has a condition called 'shy bladder' which prevents her from providing a urine sample for random drug tests when people are watching. She has talked to several staff members and can get no help. She needs a Health Status Report from her provider, who refuses to give her one, and the prison doesn't want to use the alternative cheek swab method of testing. Is there anything we can do or someone we can contact about this matter?

I am seeking information on post-conviction relief for ineffective counsel in Citrus County, Florida. The case involves an attempted sexual battery charge under Florida Statute 794.011, filed by the court after a plea was entered. I recently received this information and have not filed or reported anything yet. How can I proceed with filing a Rule 3.850 motion, and where can I find a lawyer to assist me?

I am the paternal grandmother of a 4-month-old baby boy. My son, who is an addict, is involved with the baby's mother, who has a mental disability and has shown inadequate care for her other children. They are not married. What are my chances of helping my son get sole custody and/or getting custody myself?

We had a subcontractor who cannot move her possessions (fencing, t-posts, kennels, and a flatbed) from a site we contracted her for, and they have asked us to remove her property. The sheriff advised us to remove her property and file a lien sale, indicating what we have done and that we will sell her property after a certain date. What forms do we need to send to her for this?
