Heidi E. asked
My husband and I are power of attorneys for each other. Someone suggested we should have someone else designated as an alternative in case both of us die or if one has to go into a home. What are the laws on this?

Storage unit stolen. Person 1 rented unit for person 2 (no ID) for household items (basically everything they owned). Several months later person 1 empties entire unit, person 2 was never informed. Both parties are listed on paperwork. The unit was paid and current. Storage unit is aware of situation, police report has not been submitted due to outstanding warrants on persons involved. More than 30 days have passed and action needs to be taken ASAP. There are many other details to situation, I need help with next step to begin the legal process. I have tried to locate person 1 and handle this matter on our own, unable to locate. What should be the next step?
