My husband committed a crime in 1996 involving assault with a deadly weapon and intent to kill while on drugs. He is serving a 20 to life sentence under the DC code offense. He recently went up for his initial parole hearing and was denied despite having low enough points for mandatory parole, receiving a two-year set-off instead. Is this denial appropriate considering the guidelines he should fall under?

In 1999, I was involved in a traffic accident where the other party was at fault and cited. A year later, their insurance company sued me for damages to their vehicle, resulting in a default judgment against me. The attorney for the other party's insurance company alleged I was operating my vehicle negligently, which I believe is fraudulent. I would like advice on bringing a fraud on the court case with a motion for dismissal of the judgment. Additionally, the last action on this case was in September 2000. Doesn't the judgment need to be recompiled every seven years to remain in effect? How can I get my driver's license suspension lifted, as it seems tied to this civil case?

I received a ticket for speeding and driving with a suspended license in NY state. My license was suspended due to unpaid fees, which I immediately paid upon learning about it. I want to know the approximate fines and surcharges I would face if the speeding charge is reduced to no points and the suspended license violation is dismissed.

I was jailed for elderly abuse, specifically financial abuse regarding missing cheap furniture that the resident sold. I was jailed to prevent me from attending a meeting about the house I worked on for 6 months, which I am to be paid for when the house sells. The charges were allegedly cooked up by the power of attorney, who is jealous of the written contract between me and the homeowner. I took the homeowner to court for intentionally interfering with the contract through assault and vandalism, but I was arrested before the judge could hear the case. I have a court date for the charges, and the homeowner has a court date for a restraining order I made. I am an honest person being treated unfairly. How can I prove my innocence and get these charges dropped?
