My lease has been terminated by the new landlord, and I live in Connecticut. I received a letter stating that I need to move with no reason given. I am elderly and partially disabled, and I have been a tenant for 9 years. Is this termination the same as eviction, and can I be forced to move out without a valid reason? Additionally, is there any form of elderly discrimination that I can fight against, and what are my rights as a Section 8 tenant?

I have a disqualifying offense from 2014 (robbery ORC 2911.02) for employment in Ohio, where I would manage grants from the DOJ for the local health department. Despite my long-term sobriety, master's degree, and certification as a chemical dependency counselor, I am concerned about being hired. What are the chances that the human resource department may still allow me to be employed despite my disqualification? I need help interpreting this law!

In Missouri, if my son voluntarily admitted himself for depression but is waiting for a room to become available, and they tell him that if he signals he wants to leave, they would place him on an involuntary hold, does he need to say he is going to leave in order to start the 96-hour involuntary hold period?
