My mother has been dead for 5 years (2014). I lived with her as a caretaker for 4 years and my personal property was on her land and house during that time and remains there today. One sister has made a motion to sell the land and personal property. Will my personal property be considered hers since I lived with her at the time and continue to live there?

My wife and I had an intense argument where she punched me in the eye and called the police, fearing for her safety. She took out a protective order, and I am now removed from my home. Should I have taken a protective order on her? What are my financial obligations, as I cannot afford to pay for both my mortgage and an apartment in the DC metropolitan area? My preference is to ask the judge to relieve me from paying my half of the mortgage.

I was represented by a public defender in a criminal case. During the trial, the judge allowed the public defender to testify about information she had given to the prosecution. This information was incomplete and damaging to my case. My attorney implied to the jury that I had not been completely forthcoming. I requested a mistrial, but the judge denied my request, and the jury was hung. This situation was life-changing. Can I file a complaint against a public defender with the state bar or some other agency besides the local court? The actions of this attorney were unethical in other ways as well. I did request a Marsden motion, and the judge granted it, appointing another attorney to represent me. Nevertheless, this attorney should be held accountable for her actions. Please provide information on filing a complaint against a public defender at a state, not county, level.
