I was in an accident 2 years ago when I was a minor. The plaintiffs are now trying to sue me for medical/mental injuries. Are they legally allowed to pursue me 2 years later? Does it matter that I was a minor? Can they sue my parents?

I was cheated on a real estate deal by the executor of an estate. A client approached me, claiming his home and business were foreclosed on, and his car repossessed. He asked if I would buy his father's estate, promising to buy it back within 6 months with a 6-month mortgage in escrow. I purchased the house, but the escrow account was claimed by the IRS due to liens against the property. The sister of the client is still living in the run-down property, and I have invested $40,000 to make it habitable but can't sell it for what I paid and what I have invested. Do I have any legal recourse?
