My wife received a letter from her employer about a garnishment from a judgment debtor. The Writ of Execution has her name correct but after reviewing the case online the judgment is not her. It looks like they filed an affidavit of identity to get the court to add her name to the Writ but she has never gone by the name on the judgment. Does her employer have to withhold wages if the name doesn’t match the name in the Judgment? How does she object on the grounds that the judgment debtor is not her name?
