Our HOA is harassing us and trying to find/create more problems in areas they have permitted before. They are now requesting to enter our house to inspect, more than a year after all renovations are finalized, with no valid reason. This harassment started after a dispute over damages caused by their contractor. Is there any way to cancel and refuse any inspection inside the house, and ensure that any inspection is done by a third-party company with no ties to the HOA? Should we file a lawsuit for unlawful entry and seek a restraining order against some or all board members?

I never signed a contract with Yellow Pages for advertising. They have a collection agency after me to pay over $3000.00 and now they are threatening legal action. I remember talking to them on the phone and may have agreed to an amount on a recorded line, but I never signed a written contract. What should I do?

Opposing party has an arithmetic error in their pleadings regarding the amount in dispute, creating a false appearance of a fact in dispute and attempting to avoid summary judgment. The party refuses to correct the error. How should this be handled?

I entered an agreement to sublease salon space in San Francisco, but I didn't sign an official lease. I was in the space for less than 48 hours and left once I knew it was not good for my business. What do I owe the landlord, and do I have any rights to ensure she is actively looking to fill the space?

My 2016 Kia Sedona caught fire while driving to work in Missouri, with 31,000 miles on it. Kia is offering a $20,000 credit toward a new car, but I still have a loan to pay off, missed work, and spent hours on the phone. Kia mentioned a hole in the engine block, and the car is under warranty. What legal options do I have to seek more compensation for my losses, including potential emotional damages and bad media attention?

I am representing myself in a divorce case in Michigan. My spouse filed for divorce, and we have no children or alimony involved. The case was set up to be done online. I filed an answer and counterclaim, sent a hard copy to his lawyer, and received a hearing notice. Then, I received a notice to adjourn the trial date from his lawyer and a set of interrogatories and document requests (110 questions). Is there anything I can do to avoid answering all these questions, especially since we kept separate finances and property during our marriage, and I only asked for a blue kayak, a hot tub, and the return of my former surname in my counterclaim?
