Since nobody like the LLR or DHEC wants to be responsible for these fraudulent boarding homes which are clearly illegal because the judge told her it was on a recording tape. Nobody in South Carolina has licensed these people to run these businesses, obviously because they are illegal, and I can use the recording from the judge because he said it. So, in my professional opinion, the state is still responsible for allowing illegal fraudulent business practices to operate without business licenses and being sent from a mental hospital, which should have at least done a background check to see if this business was legal and legit before sending mentally retarded people such as myself to a place that would make me a victim to white-collar crime, knowingly that the Feds were watching me, putting my life in harm's way both mentally and physically. Since no one is going to step up and say we licensed a fraudulent business practice, what part of the state is solely responsible for this or should I just sue DHEC and call it a day because no one can certify an illegal business that's why it's illegal, but I assure you someone should be held accountable? What's the law of code on this? Is statute 16-13-240?

I have an agreement with my father to pay back a loan from him. He is now trying to unilaterally change the agreement after an argument, threatening to charge interest if I do not pay an increased amount. There is nothing in our original document that states he can charge interest. I am in Massachusetts and he is in Illinois. What steps should I take to protect myself legally?
