We have been dealing with a UIM first party claim for almost 10 years with State Farm in Illinois. The process has been confusing, with our attorney initially wanting to withdraw and then offering to take the case back. We are unsure if continuing with him is in our best interest and are concerned about the handling of our claim by State Farm. What should we expect going forward and is this normal practice for UIM claims with insurance companies?
