What are my legal remedies for a Seller lying on home disclosure in the state of Louisiana? I haven't closed yet but discovered major defects during a timely home inspection. My problem is based on the disclosure and walk-through, where I made an offer and it was accepted. I put my house on the market and sold it in one day. Now, I'm potentially facing homelessness if the Seller refuses to correct the major defects. What steps should I take, and do Louisiana consumer protection laws help buyers in this situation?

We want to have a religious ceremony to be right in the eyes of God but do not want the marriage to be recognized by the state of Utah. If the pastor marks 'religious ceremony' on the marriage certificate but does not file the marriage license, will the state of Utah recognize the marriage? We are concerned about losing government benefits if the marriage is recognized.

I was involved in a hit and run accident in Georgia, admitted to it, and received a citation. I was told I didn't have to attend court if I paid the fine, but later received a mandatory court date due to not upgrading my license from class D to class C. Is there any way I can avoid appearing in court?

My next-door neighbor built a non-permitted Airbnb and advertises my property as a hiking trail, leading to thousands of trespassers, hostile exchanges, and even assaults. I've spoken to Airbnb legal and the sheriff's department, but no results. How can I proceed legally?

My mother received a paper saying I was supposed to show up for a disposition. A man came to her door and said I was being served, but he never served me directly. Since the man never served me, am I still obligated to show up for the disposition?

I had a short-term medical insurance, and now the insurance company is refusing to pay for my hospital visit, claiming it's a pre-existing condition. I don't believe it is. What can I do, and what steps should I take next?
