What can I do when my stepfather and his family took all my mother's files out of her office after her stroke, including her trust and all deeds, tax papers, and deleted almost everything on our computer? The trust was later found by a conservator appointed to handle my mother's affairs, but I was considered a bad person that spent all my parents' money and caused her stroke. Our attorney led us into conservatorship before I knew what happened, and the trust stated I was to be the durable POA. Now, the conservators want to sell the $900,000 estate, which was supposed to be half mine, and I planned to buy off my spouse's half. Can I get the conservatorship thrown out of court and my step-sister cut out of her inheritance?

I have an open case in Montréal for harassment. Charges have not been formally presented yet, but I broke some conditions like not updating my address. I spoke with my lawyer in Canada who told me that if I arrive in Montréal from Mexico, I will be arrested to be presented in front of the judge and have a new date to close this case, possibly with a fine. I'm currently in Mexico due to the COVID situation and want to travel to Texas. I'm afraid I could be detained there. One lawyer told me that because it isn't a wide warrant, it isn't possible, another lawyer in Montréal said the arrest is only possible in Quebec, but another criminal lawyer told me I would be arrested at the airport in Houston. What should I think?

In New York, an elderly family member with a second wife needs 24-hour care, and the sale of the house is planned to pay for it. The wife is alive and has rights to the house in the will if he dies. The prenuptial does not mention the house. The family member's children have been given both financial and health power of attorney, with the real estate explicitly listed in the power of attorney. The wife was not given power of attorney and is not helping with finances. What are the legal implications of selling the house to pay for care, considering the wife's potential rights and the power of attorney?
