A niece lived with her elderly aunt for the last 3 years of her life, and after the aunt's death, the niece was allowed to continue living in the aunt's apartment with the board's consent. The board accepted maintenance payments for 5 years. On year 4, the executor of the aunt's estate attempted to transfer the property to the niece, but the board denied the transfer due to the niece's income exceeding the allowed maximum. The board now threatens to evict the niece within a month. Is this legal, and how can the income allowance be verified?

I have a car that is in both my name and my ex-boyfriend's name. He is claiming to be a lien holder, but the car is paid off. Does having both our names on the title make him a lien holder, or does it mean he is a co-owner?

My son, a 14-year-old freshman at New Mexico Military Institute, experienced a significant drop in his GPA from 4.0 to 1.88, behavioral issues, and was involved in a theft incident off-campus without supervision. The school provided inadequate oversight and did not communicate these issues to us in a timely manner. We are considering legal action. What kind of attorney should we look for, and should they be located in Texas or New Mexico?
