I am a retired army and a disabled veteran. I have a neighbor who is in the USA under a permanent green card because he was a hockey player. From time to time, I have received verbal threats from him. However, he did this when no one was around. I want this to be on record in case something does transpire. Can I record my conversations with him?

I receive SSI and have a small interest in an active gas well that generates between $25 to $100 monthly. Social Security deducts this amount from my SSI check each month. I was informed that if I sell my interest in the gas well, they would take my SSI benefits or make me pay them back the amount received from the sale. Can they do that, and do they have the right to take my SSI from me?

I was planning to pack an aerosol can of insect repellant for clothing for a trip to Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia. However, I read in my tour book that aerosol cans should be left behind and cannot be packed in checked luggage. Is this correct?

I already have a tenant estoppel certificate form from the CA Bar and CA Association of Realtors, but the tenant refuses to sign the standard lender-escrow required forms. Is there a specific form for the seller to sign when a tenant refuses to cooperate?

I live in Massachusetts and signed a contract for a jiu jitsu gym in 2006. I informed the gym leader in 2006 that I would not be attending anymore due to schedule changes, but I was still being charged $80 a month until 2012. The bank statements were initially mistaken for a different payment. I contacted the gym headquarters, and they mentioned that my contract likely required me to cancel the membership myself. The instructor from 2006 is no longer there. Do I have any chance of a case if I were to take this to small claims court?
