Are there any reported complaints or concerns about Dr. David Leng, MD, a former surgeon now practicing as a Primary Care Physician (PCP) for 14 years, employed by Kaiser Permanente (KP)? I am concerned about his background and recent prescription changes that have negatively affected my health.

Does donating blood lead to inaccurate blood test results? I am a regular blood donor using the Red Cross’ power red donation procedure. My most recent donation was on June 29. Two days after the donation, on July 1, I had CMP, Lipid panel, and CBC with differential tests. Will any of the results from this test be impacted by the donation? I am particularly interested in cholesterol results.

My knees hurt really bad and are red, swollen, and bruised. I applied diclofenac gel, but the pain persists. I suspect it might be due to wearing tight knee-high socks for an extended period during a Fourth of July event. What should I do, and how long will it take for the pain to go away?

My resting heart rate is normally about 60-65. I get anxious sometimes and it speeds up, not in a linear way but with groups of faster beats. This makes me more anxious, creating a cycle until I take Xanax or don't sleep. I'm 66, very active, and recently on a low-carb diet to lose weight. I've had extensive heart tests in the last 18 months (echo cardiogram, holter, 30-day monitor, EKG, blood work) and the doctor is not worried. However, I get worried and the cycle worsens. What could be causing this and what can I do about it?
