I am 46 years old, 5 ft 8, and weighed 256 lb in May. My bloodwork showed high LDL (120), borderline rise in A1C (5.8), and elevated ALT (58). I stopped eating starch, sugar, alcohol, and lactose, and started swimming 3 times a week. My weight reduced to 229 pounds, but it has plateaued at 228-230 lb. I am eating only veggies, fruits, lean meat, and maintaining the same swimming schedule, but my body is refusing to go lower. My target is to get to 180 lb. How can I overcome this weight loss plateau?
