I have been experiencing changes in my stools, including constipation relieved by over-the-counter laxatives, and a lot of wind with runny and sticky stools. I also have severe psoriasis and am waiting to start methotrexate. I have a mild pain in the center of my abdomen occasionally and a slightly raised red blood cell count on a recent blood test, which the doctor is not worried about. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?

I have had lymphedema for 23 years from node dissection and now have a second cancer in the same breast. I need to know what precautions can be taken to prevent infection during surgery. I have a small, localized, early-detected tumor. When I asked the surgeon if I should take antibiotics before the surgery to prevent an infection, he said to worry about it if it happened. I have a standing order for antibiotics if I ever get an infection, and I have been very careful with my arm, but I won't be in control during surgery.

I have been suffering from BV for 9 months, and my symptoms are getting worse despite trying antibiotics and natural treatments. Probiotics help initially but then the discharge returns.
