I started consuming protein shakes in powder form and experienced side pain. I exercised yesterday and consumed the protein shake right after, but did not exercise today. Is the side pain from the protein, and if so, what should I do? I have a poor diet and am trying to gain weight by exercising.

I had an involuntary severe colonic cleanse a week ago, resulting in diarrhea accompanied by thick, snotty-looking mucus. The diarrhea only lasted for one day, but I haven't had a bowel movement since then despite taking MiraLax. I was given one 690 milligram ibuprofen in the ER this evening and my mouth, face, and lips are swelling. I don’t know if that’s drastic or if I should just let it go away itself or if there’s anything I can do. How long have you had the swelling? About how large is the affected area? Is your mouth painful or tender? What are all the medications you're currently using, either for the swelling or anything else? How old are you? Do you have swelling in your neck or tongue? Do you have any breathing issues? Have you taken any medicines for swelling in the mouth, face, or lips?
