For almost two years, the skin on the inside of my upper lip has been peeling off and soon replaces itself after I scrape it off. I have seen three doctors, including a specialist, but they don't know the cause. Mouth washes and scrubbing with an electric toothbrush help temporarily, but the thin, stubborn skin returns. What could be causing this and what should I do?

I am 37 years old and interested in incorporating fasting into my lifestyle. I currently maintain a 12-14 hour gap between dinner and breakfast and want to take the next step. How should I proceed? Additionally, I have had mild buttock acne for 15 years, which hasn't responded to antibiotics, oral medication, or topical ointments. Can fasting cure this skin problem?
