My son is 6 months old and has been breathing quite fast, with a rate of 58 breaths per minute while awake and 48 breaths per minute while asleep. He has a crackly chest sound, had bronchitis two weeks ago, and was on steroids but stopped antibiotics after two days. He has COVID and has been taking Panadol and Nurofen. What could be causing his rapid breathing, and should I take him to the emergency department or wait until morning to see a doctor?

I have esophagitis and am prescribed 1 pantoprazole 40mg a day. To improve acid suppression and facilitate faster healing, is it safe to take 2 pantoprazole 40mg a day instead of 1, taken about 12 hours apart?
