Hi Doc. I have the Sickle Cell trait. My lab drawn A1C was 6.2 and my home A1c test reads 7.6. Can the Sickle Cell Trait give a false A1c reading? I'm assuming the Lab drawn test will be the most accurate of the two, correct?

I broke my right femur in an accident on 3/12/18 and had a bone graft for a nonunion on 7/29/18. For almost six months, the doctors told me everything was healing fine, but I couldn't lift my leg off the ground from the knee down. The doctor said he put the rod low to capture the fragments, which is why the pain stopped me from lifting my leg. I got the results from a cat scan, which concluded chronic nonunion of the supracondylar region. I immediately started using a bone stimulator 8 days ago and can now lift my leg almost straight. Does this mean my bone is uniting? The doctor has not contacted me since the cat scan, so I am asking you.

How can they diagnose me with aplastic anemia if they don't have a biopsy result that shows enough evidence?

I suffer from a persistent chronic cough for almost 2 years. I am 70 years old, have multiple sclerosis, and the cough is dry with no fever, night sweats, or history of runny nose or skin/food allergies. The cough can occur at any time, is violent, and causes choking and gasping for breath, often with tears. It is exacerbated by dry foods but occurs without them, and I do not suffer from acidity or reflux. What could be causing this cough and what tests or treatments should I consider?

My friend had sex with her boyfriend and wants a baby. After sex, she took the sperm from the condom and put it inside her 8 minutes later, right after her period ended. Does she have any chance of getting pregnant, and if she did this for three days in a row, would her chances increase?
