I am 83 years old, female, slight built, and have been prescribed Fosomax once weekly for osteopenia, along with Creon for EPI. I am concerned about the potential digestive toll this combination may take on my digestive tract. My orthopedic doctor suggested asking my primary doctor to order an IV once a year. What should I do?

I have had mucus in the back of my throat for about a month. A week later, I started coughing a lot and now I feel like there is an air bubble in my throat that I can't get rid of. My food is coming up when I try to burp as well. Any help? Is this something serious? Tried: better diet, Prilosec OTC, allergy meds for 4 days.

I was diagnosed with Giardiasis on June 3rd and treated with Flagyl for 7 days. After a couple of weeks, I started feeling discomfort again with symptoms like bloated stomach, lots of gas, and irregular, pasty stools. My doctor warned that Giardiasis could recur, but I didn't expect it so soon. Is it possible that I have it again so soon?
