I am a 38-year-old male who recently had rectal surgery involving steroid injections into the levator ani muscle, a fistula repair, and a closed lateral internal sphincterotomy (LAS). A few days post-surgery, I started experiencing groin discomfort on the right side, described as a dull ache or mild burning, which is not constant but noticeable with certain movements and while driving. The discomfort has not worsened but occasionally goes away for a few days and then returns. I have no tenderness in my testicles, no blood in my urine, and no other symptoms like fever or nausea. My colorectal surgeon checked for a hernia but found nothing unusual. What could this groin discomfort be?
