I am a 63-year-old woman. My menstrual cycle stopped about 15 years ago after much trouble getting control of it, and I never really went into the traditional sweats. Now this week, my period has started again, not enough to be of concern but enough to require a pad. Is this something to be concerned about?

Ever since I had an upper endoscopy almost 4 weeks ago, I have been experiencing severe chest pressure/discomfort, difficulty swallowing, and difficulty breathing, which have led to significant weight loss and hospitalizations for IV fluids. Despite normal results from CT scans, X-rays, swallowing tests, ENT scope, and blood work, doctors are suggesting anxiety as the cause. However, I believe this discomfort began after the endoscopy and is not related to anxiety. What could be causing these symptoms and how can I get my life back to normal?

I have an unexplained itch on my forearms with no rash, which started again when my husband deployed. I have tried various anti-itch creams, Benadryl, steroid cream, Lanacane, Gold Bond heavy duty anti-itch cream, and prescription Claritin, but the itch persists. I had this issue two years ago and it was thought to be related to my iron-deficient anemia, which resolved with iron supplements. Now, with my husband deployed again, the itch has returned despite being on iron supplements and Claritin. The itch is severe, affecting my sleep and causing skin damage. What could be causing this itch and how can I relieve it?

I have acne-prone, sensitive skin and it has stopped responding to Clearasil Stay Clear. My skin cannot tolerate most acne products due to its sensitivity. My lips are also very dry despite using lip gloss and Vaseline. Additionally, I have combination skin—some parts are dry and others are oily—and moisturizing lotion doesn't seem to work. What should I do?

I had a duodenal switch performed in 1997 due to continual nausea, which was confirmed by multiple tests to be caused by bile reflux. I am now confused because I've seen that the surgery is typically performed for obesity, which I was not. I am currently experiencing the same symptoms as before the surgery and have no medical insurance, relying on government institutions that have not been able to help. Additionally, I cannot take painkillers due to a compromised immune system from government-prescribed medications, and I have severe osteoarthritis from a previous unsuccessful surgery. Could you clarify if the duodenal switch was the right surgery for me and advise where I could receive help through government institutions or if there is an alternative treatment?
