I am a 66-year-old female with a 4.5 aneurysm on the ascending aorta, diagnosed in 2008. I have a history of multiple surgeries and medical conditions, including cervical and lumbar fusion, eye surgery, and gallbladder pancreatitis. I have gained 75 pounds since my surgeries began and am concerned about the level of exercise I can safely engage in to prepare for potential heart surgery. Will exercise affect my aneurysm, and how vigorous can it be?
