I am a 70-year-old male with diastasis recti. My family physician advised that no surgery is needed, but did not provide guidance on what to do. Can I ignore it, or are there dangers of not addressing diastasis recti in some manner? I have no pain or other symptoms, except for a raised hump down the middle of my stomach when I sit up using my abdominals.
