I am being evaluated for Crohn's disease due to a perianal fistula, which my colorectal specialist believes is a transsphincteric fistula. I have a history of IBS, recurrent MRSA infections, and a recent colonoscopy that showed no signs of Crohn's but did show hemorrhoids. I am scheduled for an MRE and MRI to further evaluate the fistula and potential small bowel involvement. I am seeking a second opinion on whether these symptoms and test results could indicate Crohn's disease, and if not, what other conditions could be causing my symptoms.
