I have been experiencing right upper quadrant pain for over 4 years, which sometimes occurs with alcohol consumption and sometimes out of nowhere. I had my gallbladder removed due to sludge, and a CT scan showed fatty liver, but my liver function tests are currently normal. I also have colitis and irritable bowel syndrome. I am overweight and want to lose 50lbs to reach the 200 lb range. I have borderline hypertension and a family history of heart issues. I have taken Belviq in the past with some success but now have a prescription for Contrave. I am going to Italy in 5 weeks and am concerned about taking Contrave due to potential side effects like hot flashes and increased sweating, especially in hot weather. Should I take Belviq until after my trip and then switch to Contrave, or start Contrave now and deal with any side effects? Also, can I drink alcohol while on Contrave, similar to how I could with Belviq?

I think I have PTSD due to major anger issues and nightmares, which I believe stem from a traumatic event in my childhood where my father, brother, and I were robbed at gunpoint. I never sought counseling or therapy for this and have noticed that certain triggers can lead to angry fits.
