I am experiencing symptoms similar to COVID, including a sore throat, coughing, sneezing, shakes, a slight fever, and a heavy head, for the past 4 days. I've tested negative for COVID multiple times. My symptoms include a wet cough that comes and goes, and I'm currently taking medications like codral, panadol, betadine gargle, and strepsils. I'm 65 years old and usually fit, but I often develop sinusitis from colds. What could be causing these symptoms, and what should I do since I can't see my doctor until next Thursday?

I have back pain on my lower right side along my spine, which is a dull twinge that comes and goes. I am concerned about a possible blighted ovum or impending miscarriage due to the loss of other pregnancy symptoms like nausea, reflux, full/sore breasts, and fatigue. Should I be worried about miscarrying soon, and what should I do about the back pain and loss of symptoms?

I have had a constant sore throat for 5 days, which temporarily subsides with ibuprofen but returns with a strong cough and occasional fever. I also experience chills during fever episodes, constant cough with phlegm, and difficulty swallowing. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My wife, a 45-year-old Filipino woman weighing about 95 pounds, is experiencing exhaustion and shortness of breath. Her complete blood count (CBC) shows a red blood cell (RBC) count of 3.72, which is below the normal range of 4.15. She is taking prenatal vitamins with iron while breastfeeding our 26-month-old daughter. The doctor called her RBC count 'normal' and not 'worrisome,' but we don't understand why a below-range RBC count, given her symptoms and iron intake, is not considered clinically significant. Can you help us understand this?

My 80-year-old father has been repeatedly hospitalized due to a UTI that led to sepsis and pneumonia, exacerbated by bilateral kidney stones, one of which is causing a blockage and kidney damage. Despite multiple hospitalizations and the insertion of nephrostomy tubes, he has not been seen by a urologist for stone removal, which is critical for his recovery. What can I do to ensure he receives the necessary urological care, especially given his history of recurrent infections and the potential violation of standard care?

I am taking 150mg sertraline, 25mg adderax, 50mg trazadone, and 1mg catapress. I took my first dose of adderax at around 8 am and another around 3 pm. When can I take my next dose of adderax, and when should I take my bedtime medications (trazadone and clonodine)? Can I take melatonin while on these medications, and how often should I take adderax if not specified?
