Tonight, I noticed a pain when I bend forward and contract my abdomen. The pain is on my left side, about 5 inches below my breast and a few inches above my navel, in the middle soft area of my abdomen but all the way to the left side. It happens when I tighten the muscles there. The pain is also present when I cough and contract my abdomen. I take two blood pressure medications and am 57 years old.
