I have a very taut stomach with ridges poking out, painful cramps subsiding, and Braxton Hicks-like symptoms. I haven't eaten for 3 days, threw up Saturday morning, and have had diarrhea (now subsiding). My stomach feels like I'm 6 months pregnant. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My doctor wanted to put me on Levemir 50 units once a day and Humlin R sliding scale. What is your sliding scale for the Humlin R or should I use Humalog or something else?
