My mouth is very sore everywhere. I have tried washing with toothpaste and salt water, but nothing helps. I have noticed ulcers in my mouth that have been present for 3-4 weeks. There is no recent swelling or tooth pain, and I have no other significant medical history.

I am a 41-year-old male with type two diabetes, A1C 15.0. I was put on metformin 1000mg twice a day, now on janumet 1000mg twice a day. If I was to use insulin, what kind and how much? My doctor wanted to put me on Levemir 50 units once a day and Humlin R sliding scale. What is your sliding scale for the Humlin R or should I use Humalog or something else?
