I have stopped using marijuana and sleeping pills for sleep, but now I wake up at least once a night to pee, my sleep duration has reduced to 7-8 hours, and occasionally I wake up after 5 hours and can't fall back to sleep. My sleep schedule is different from the normal pattern due to my partner's time zone. I also have insulin resistance, which I keep under control, and I'm concerned about my kidneys. Why has this problem occurred after I started sleeping naturally, and what can I do about it?

I've been feeling run-down and had some tender/achy skin on my right side, along with reflux and diarrhea. My primary doctor recommended starting Valtrex for potential shingles, but now I have a faint red pinprick rash all over my stomach. Am I allergic to the Valtrex, and what should I do about the potential shingles?
