I had a colon screening 4 years ago where one polyp was removed. I am scheduled for another screening in February 2013. Can colon cancer develop in that time frame, and is it recommended to have colon screenings every 2-3 years to catch polyps early?

I use plenty of fiber in my diet, yet I cannot get the stool or urine out unless I physically pull out my stool. This is a constant problem. I have had a colonoscopy, and the doc said he found nothing wrong. I have Behcet's syndrome, severe back pain at the base of my spine, osteoarthritis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and recently had a vein taken out by laser in my left leg, which is still swollen. I do as much activity as my situation allows, which ends up being quite a bit because my daughter is in late stage multiple sclerosis. I have not seen a gynecologist in the past 3 years. I am overweight.
