I had a severe case of COVID in 2020 and was on a ventilator for 16 days due to pneumonia. I have since developed several health issues including neurogenic bladder, pulmonary edema/CHF, afib, primary hyperthyroidism, bilateral peripheral neuropathy, foot drop, organizing pneumonia, osteoporosis, splenomegaly, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease causing cirrhosis. I have had 2 COVID immunizations and 2 boosters. My nephew and his family, who are against immunizations, have not been vaccinated. Should I be concerned about contracting COVID from them if I invite their children over to my pool, as long as we are outside and I do not hug them?

I’ve had mid back pain for a few months. Recently, I started getting cramps in my arms and legs with simple movements. Yesterday, I woke up with diarrhea and didn’t eat anything all day. Last night, I started getting intermittent heart pain, which is mild and lasts only 2-3 seconds at a time but happens intermittently through the night. My blood pressure and heart rate are normal, and I have a 6-lead Kardia that shows normal. Should I be concerned about this pain?

My 3-year-old daughter is throwing up. She woke up in vomit and has been throwing up for the last hour. She has vomited about 5 times, with the first one being substantial and the rest being liquid and yellow in color. She is not lethargic, still laughing at times, but complains of stomach pains. She is not experiencing dizziness, chills, or trouble breathing, and is not on any medications. She was a preemie but has no other medical problems. What could be causing this and what should I do?

My endocrinologist thinks I have Pseudo Cushing's. My morning ACTH (serum, not suppressed) is slightly high, and I failed a 1mg dex suppression test with a slightly high result. However, 3 midnight salivary cortisol tests were negative and a 24-hour urine test was negative. I do not have the classic physical symptoms of Cushing's except that I am overweight. I have high BP and am insulin resistant. Why are my morning values high?

I have had diarrhea and vomiting for 7 days now. I was treated with IV fluids on day 2 but things are still not better. The diarrhea is constant, occurring about 12 times per day, and I have nausea, fatigue, and no appetite. I take Topamax, elavil, and betahistamine, and have used zofan and Tylenol PRN. I am 52 years old and have a medical history including a partial nephrectomy in 2014 for renal cell carcinoma, a TUBRT in 2015 for clear cell carcinoma, and an RNY in 2002 with a revision in 2021. What should I do?
