I recently got tested for HIV after my brother, who was diagnosed with HIV, became ill in my home. My test results were negative for HIV-2, inconclusive for HIV-1 with one part weakly positive and the other part negative. I am very upset and need to know the difference between HIV-1 and HIV-2, why my results were inconclusive, and if there is a very little possibility that I have HIV.

An 11-year-old male has had a fever of 101°F for roughly 13 hours, which hasn't responded to Tylenol, Motrin every 4-6 hours, or a lukewarm bath. The child is barely drinking and hasn't eaten since Sunday night. The fever just came on at some point in school yesterday. This is the first time this has happened. The child is generally healthy but has a history of Rosiola at around a year old with high fever and seizures, and is also Autistic with anxiety. What could be causing the fever and what should be done?

I have had a chronic ache and numbness on the left side of my lower back, traveling to the front of the left side for the past week. I have also developed itchy spots on my back, under my breast, and on my stomach. Is this a reaction to the Advil I've been taking for joint and muscle pain, or do I have shingles as I suspect?

I have pain in my left stomach and back pain on the left side. My stools are loose and green. Eating makes the pain worse. I had a fever and was vomiting a few days ago. Symptoms have been going on for about 5 days. I'm on several medications for schizoaffective disorder. Not sure if they have anything to do with this.

I just had diarrhea and a thick brown mucus came out. And like a lot! Is this bad? I experienced a stomach ache but feel better now. This has been bothering me for the last 30 minutes. No vomiting or nausea. My half brother has rectal cancer.
